Chinese phone maker Xiaomi has successfully held PUBG Mobile Philippines Cup 2021, powered by its latest Redmi Note 10 5G.

In this tournament, Anarchyst PH came out on top, taking home the cash prize of PHP 50,000 for being the strongest throughout the campaign. In the meantime, second-placed Guidotti Esports Mikasa took home PHP 25,000. UTG International was paid PHP 15,000 for third place, and XTX Project Rebirth was awarded PHP 10,000 for fourth place.

Only 32 teams from throughout the country qualified for the group stage of the competition, which was aired live on the Xiaomi Philippines and PUBG Mobile Philippines pages. The top 16 teams from Groups A and B then outperformed their opponents throughout the group stage, engaging in fierce, tactical combat for the top prizes in the Grand Finals, which were televised live on July 24 and 25.

All teams that participated have expressed their gratitude towards the brand for having to showcase their skills in the Philippine Esports scene.

As a recap, this phone appears in an anti-fingerprint frosted glasstic curved back design available in Chrome Silver, Graphite Gray, Nighttime Blue, and Aurora Green colorways.

It boasts a screen with a 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz refresh rate, which is a good fit for battle royale games allowing professional players to have buttery smooth frame rates thus upping their skills. It also has an AdaptiveSync tech that can automatically adjust the refresh rate between 30/50/60/90Hz according to the activity on the screen to save battery life.

Inside, it is powered by a 2.0GHz 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core processor, with a GPU of Mali-G57 MC2 at 950MHz. Together it is then paired with either 4/8GB LPDDRX RAM and a huge and fast UFS 2.2 128GB memory.

This phone also has a large battery with 5,000 mAh with an 18W fast charging.

Moving to cameras, it uses a triple camera setup, with 48MP f/1.79 w/PDAF as the main shooter + 2MP f2.4 macro shooter + 2MP f/2.4 for depth. The three lenses are also paired with dual-LED flash. As for the front-facing shooter, it uses 8MP f/2.0.

Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, IR Blaster, Hi-Res Audio, dual-mic, USB-C. It has 802.11ac dual-band WiFi and a "future-ready 5G connection" for faster internet and Bluetooth 5.1.

As for the OS, it will run with Android 11 with MIUI 12 on the top.
