Google today launched a compact mid-ranger with next-gen connectivity, the Pixel 5a 5G.

The Pixel with the largest battery capacity yet

Available in a Black back cover design and IP67 water and dust resistance rating, the Google Pixel 5a 5G boasts a 6.34-inch OLED screen with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution display at 413 ppi. It also has a left-aligned punch-hole housing the 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

Inside, it is packed with the 7nm Snapdragon 765G SoC, Adreno 620 GPU, 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB internal storage, and 4,680mAh battery with 18W fast charging. At 4,680mAh, this is the largest battery capacity on a Pixel device yet.

For cameras, it is packed with a 12.2MP f/1.7 main shooter + a 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera.

This device also has a fingerprint scanner at the back, dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE (apart from 5G), NFC, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and a single SIM card slot.

It loads with Android 11 OS. Of course, it'll come with timely Android updates as well.

The handset measures 154.9 x 73.7 x 7.6 mm and weighs 183 grams.

US price with direct to PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

Google Pixel 5a 5G - USD 449 (around PHP 22.6K)

In US, it retails for USD 449. There is no info if it will be available on Philippine shores.
