HONOR Power2 launched: 10,080mAh battery, Dimensity 8500 Elite, and quad IP ratings

HONOR Power 2 was introduced in the Chinese market, highlighting a high-capacity battery within a relatively slim profile.

The device is available in Phantom Black, Snowfield White, and Rising Sun Orange. It features a metal frame and measures 7.98mm thick while weighing 216 grams.

It also boasts a quad IP rating, such as the IP66/68/69/69K for robust protection against dust and water.

The display

In front, it is equipped with a 6.79-inch flat OLED LTPS display featuring a 1.5K resolution of 2600 x 1200 pixels. The screen boasts up to 8,000 nits of peak brightness and supports 3,840Hz PWM dimming.

Inside is the 3.4GHz 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite 8-core chipset with Mali-G720 MC2 GPU, paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 4.1 storage.

Large battery in a thin form factor

Its main highlight is the MASSIVE 10,080mAh battery despite having a slim profile. The phone is charged using USB-C 80W HONOR SuperCharge and supports 27W reverse charging.

The rear camera system consists of a dual setup: a 50MP main sensor with OIS + a 5MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies, it uses a 16MP front-facing camera.

Other Features are an in-display fingerprint scanner and dual speakers.

Connectivity options encompass WiFi 6, 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 6.0, an IR blaster, USB-C, and Honor’s C1+ RF chip. It also supports dual-frequency GPS and tri-frequency Beidou positioning.

For software, it runs on Android 16 with the MagicOS 10 interface.

The phone is currently available in China. No word yet if the brand will bring the Power2 here. In separate news, the firm is launching the toughest mid-range HONOR X9d in the Philippines.
