DECODE 2021 tackled different cybersecurity issues

DECODE 2021 is a gathering of cybersecurity experts from the Philippines and all over the world. The conference will tackle the most pressing cybersecurity issues, threats, and explore how we can counteract them. This year's event had a theme called "DEC1DE, DEC0DE".

The three-day virtual conference opened with four keynote sessions delivered by Trend Micro’s Director of Global Operations, Managed XDR Jay Yaneza, FBI Cyber Division Intelligence Analyst Lauren Seawright, Cybercrime Directorate of INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation (IGCI) & INTERPOL’s Head of Cybercrime Intelligence Unit Shane Cross, and Meralco’s VP and Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Mel T. Migriño.

The event tackled ways on how to make timely decisions to prevent the further spread of a cyberattack, the current Ransomware Threat Landscape in 2021, how different law enforcement agencies work with private partners to catch cybercrime, and more. Trend Micro also continued the Get IT Girl yearly discussion on empowering women in tech.
