Samsung Flex Bar |
The Flex OLED usages have been categorized into five types namely Flex Bar, Flex Square, Flex Note, Rollable Flex, and Slidable Flex. First up, the Flex Bar and Flex Square have already been seen in the current Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold series. |
Samsung Flex Square |
As the name implies, these two are both, when unfolded, in the shapes of a bar for the Galaxy Z Flip and a square for the Galaxy Z Fold series. |
Samsung Flex Note |
The Flex Note configuration is designed to deliver a foldable device that will function as more of a laptop. One half will serve as the main display while the other will serve as input. This is especially useful in creative use cases such as graphic arts. You can use it as one full canvass that you can draw on or as a traditional laptop. |
Samsung Rollable Flex |
The Rollable Flex shows a TV that reminds us of an LG TV from a while back. It shows a cylindrical base that kind of shows how the Flex OLED rolls up when now in use. Lastly, the Slidable Flex seems to be teasing a mobile device that slides out to a bigger tablet-like device just like the OPPO X 2021. |
Samsung Slidable Flex |
While we don't know for sure if Samsung will push through with products for the Flex Note, Rollable Flex, and Slidable Flex, it is a great showcase of the application capabilities of the Flex OLED technology.
