PH Senator pushes for online sabong suspension

Amid the investigation of the 30 missing cockfight players, Senator Ronald dela Rosa is calling for the suspension of the online sabong operations.

Online Sabong to be suspended?

According to reports, the cockfight patrons were kidnapped in different incidents spread across Manila, Batangas, Bulacan, Laguna, and Rizal last month. The senator stated that the kidnappers usually contact the family of the victim to relay their demands within 48 hours or less of the abduction.

Senator dela Rosa is will look to fila a resolution to investigate these disappearances. He will also ask at least one of his colleagues to attend to provide a quorum. There are also rumors that the missing 30 cockfight enthusiasts are just the tip of the iceberg.

The kidnappers were described to be armed and wearing bonnets to hide their identities. The senator also said it is possible that gambling lords could be responsible for the abductions. He also stated that the common thing among the victims is that they are all involved in online sabong betting.
