HONOR X7 announced with SD680 and 5,000mAh battery

Following the launch of the X8 a few weeks back, HONOR today launched the X7 in Malaysia with almost similar specs but with some minor differences.

The first thing to notice about this phone is its design, at the back, you'll see that it's got the resemblance to the Huawei P50 due to the glossy finish of the cover and the elliptical camera bump that houses the 4 cameras.

The phone's features

At the front, the smartphone uses a display of a 6.7-inch IPS LCD panel with a 720 x 1600 resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and waterdrop notch that fits the 8MP selfie camera.

Inside the X7, it has a 6nm Snapdragon 680 with Adreno 610 GPU, it is paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Additionally, it is also capable of virtual RAM extension of up to 2GB.

The device is powered with a big 5,000mAh battery capacity and a 22.5W fast charging solution.

It has a quad-camera setup wherein the main shooter is 48MP, followed by a 5MP for wide-angle, 2MP for macro, and another 2MP for depth shooting.

Other features mentioned are a side-mounted fingerprint reader and face unlock for security and support for micro SD cards.

For connectivity, it has WiFi, 4G VoLTE, dual SIM support, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

As for the software side, it runs Android 11 OS with Magic UI 4.2 skin on top.

However, HONOR has yet to reveal details yet about its pricing and availability, although it will come with two colorways—Ocean Blue and Titanium Silver.
