This year's Pride Edition Sport Loop has a color gradient and the word "pride" woven into the band. Apple is also launching a new Shot on iPhone pride campaign on Instagram, which captures the spirit of LGBTQ+ artists and leaders throughout the world.

Members and friends of Apple's LGBTQ+ creative community were motivated to create this distinctive design as a fresh symbol of pride. Apple employed a unique process to remove many of the double-layer nylon-woven textile loops on the band, revealing the word "pride" in a cursive form inspired by the initial "hello" greeting that was first shown on the first Macintosh in 1984 giving the word a fresh, three-dimensional look and feel.

The team created a color gradient that combines the traditional rainbow hues with colors from different pride flags, such as light blue, pink, and white, which symbolize transgender and gender-nonconforming people, and black and brown, which represent Black and Latinx groups. The colors also reflect individuals who are living with HIV/AIDS or who have perished from it.

This new Pride Thread watch face was inspired by several pride flags and blends colors to signify the LGBTQ+ movement's power and unity. Each strand of bright thread adds to the overall composition of the watch face, mirroring the woven loops of the Sport Loop. When the Apple Watch's Digital Crown is spun, the display is touched, or the user's wrist is elevated, the colorful threads move.

Apple also included a new App Clip capability in the band packaging to provide users with a quick and easy method to access the new matching watch face.

There is also a new Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop that reflects the rainbow's whole spectrum and includes a rainbow-colored Nike Bounce watch face to go with the new band. The Sport Loop, like Nike's Be True series, recognizes those who are advancing sport for future generations and motivating others to experience the thrill of being true to themselves. Be True is part of Nike's larger LGBTQ+ mission, which includes acknowledgment, advocacy, inspiration, and education.
