Today, we are sharing our thoughts on vivo X70 5G after more than 6 months of use.

This is honestly one of my two personal phones and a favorite to recommend in the sub-PHP 35K price range.

To recap, the PHP 34,999 vivo X70 is boasting a 3D curved textured glass back, 6.56-inch SCHOTT Xensation Up protected E5 AMOLED screen w/ 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and FHD+ 2376 x 1080 resolution at 398 ppi, and the 3.0GHz 6nm Custom MediaTek Dimensity 1200 octa-core processor with Mali-G77 MC9 GPU.

This also features the ZEISS-enchanced 40MP f/1.89 w/ laser AF, OIS + 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle + 12MP f/1.98 portrait + ZEISS T* anti-reflective coating + Color temperature sensor + Xenon flash camera configuration at the back and a 32MP f/2.45 selfie shooter.

Pros - Great build, not prone to fingerprint smudges, decent performance, good battery life, a very capable camera system, cool camera tricks, stabilized videos

Cons - No IP rating, no stereo speakers, some competing phones have higher processors

Our thoughts

The camera UI of the device

At PHP 34,999, vivo X70 stood the test of time as it is still solid even after over 6 months of use.

It may not be over-the-top as its higher Pro siblings, but it’s a straight-up well-rounded premium device with stellar cameras, excellent 5G performance, long-lasting battery life, and a sleek classy design.

Of course, its use of the ZEISS optics made it a real steal and we still highly recommend this for those who loved shooting photos and videos on the go often.

This is a device that made us even more excited about the future of vivo in the premium smartphone market.
