How will this affect Q3 and Q4 2022?

With the post-pandemic economic crisis, price inflation, and the Russia-Ukraine affecting the supply chain, Samsung may be forced to reduce its phone production by up to 30 million units. Samsung is not the only company looking to do this. Apple is also reportedly looking to cut smartphone production as well in 2022.

However, Apple is only looking to cut production of the lower-end iPhone SE by 20 percent while Samsung is looking to reduce production in all price segments. This will bring down Samsung's projected production of 310 million units to only 280 million units/

Inflation is at an all-time high in key regions around the world as well. This causes consumers to cut back on unnecessary expenses. According to market analysts, this will be a major factor in sales of low-cost devices declining this year.
