RedmiBook Pro 2022 Ryzen Edition announced with 6000 series chipsets!

Last March 2022 Xiaomi released the RedmiBook Pro 2022 Intel variants. This time they are releasing the Ryzen models.

The RedmiBook Pro 15

Xiaomi laptops powered by Ryzen 6000 series!

The laptops come in two display sizes. First would be the 15-inch variant with 3200 x 2000 resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 100 percent sRGB with deltaE 1.5 calibrations. The max brightness would be 400 nits and has a DC dimming feature, and a light sensor to adjust the brightness automatically.

Next will be the smaller 14-inch model, it has a 2.5K resolution and the refresh rate is increased to 120Hz.

The 15-inch model features

Inside, both of them have two processor choices. You can choose either the 6nm Ryzen 5 6600H which has 6 cores and 12 threads while the integrated GPU would be the AMD 660M with 6 GPU compute units.

The second choice will be the 6nm Ryzen 7 6800H. The cores and threads are increased to 8 and 16, While the iGPU AMD 680M will have 12 compute units making it twice faster than the other one. 

The 6600H and 6800H also have the same 45W power draw.

The 15-inch model also gets an option for an additional graphics card which will be the NVIDIA RTX 2050 4GB DDR6 VRAM. However, the smaller display model is stuck up to the iGPU. Don't worry though as AMD says these are capable at least with 1080p 60 fps gaming.

As for the RAM and storage options, the two of them are equipped with 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB SSD. Unfortunately, there are no options for storage upgrades.

The RedmiBook Pro 14 features

For batteries, the bigger one has a 72WHr size which can go up to 14 hours, while the 14-inch type will have 10 hours of juice from the 52WHr battery.

Based on the images, the notebooks also have a webcam but it is unclear yet for its resolution.

Other features, the RedmiBook Pro 15" and 14" both have dual fans to keep the thermals in check. And they also get a backlit keyboard.

It has Thunderbolt 4, 1x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, USB-A 3.2 Gen1, HDMI 2.0, audio jack, SD card reader, and WiFi 6. While the software runs with the latest Windows OS.

The laptops are available for pre-order now at their China website and the sale begins on May 31.

Also, if you deposit CNY 100 (around PHP 780), the price goes down by CNY 900 (around PHP 7K) which means the base models will start at CNY 4,700 (around PHP 36.6K) for the 15-inch, while the other one goes down to CNY 4,500 (around PHP 35K).

There's no confirmation yet if they will come to the Philippines. We will update you once there's news about it.
