Will GPU prices go down even more?

The current cryptocurrency crash has caused GPU prices to also drop at a very fast rate. The report pointed out that GPU prices decreased by 15 percent just in the month of May. This has been the biggest one during the gradual decrease in price that started even before Bitcoin and Ethereum prices started to free fall.

The crypto crash saw Bitcoin drop in value by 30 percent while Ethereum dropped 40 percent in value. Note that these cryptocurrencies peaked at over USD 60,000 and USD 4,000 respectively. This affected GPU costs significantly with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 listing at less than USD 650 from over USD 1,000 a few months ago. Some websites even sell RTX 3080 cards in bundles for USD 2,500 which is around USD 420 each. That's a steal!

With the exception of the RX 6800 XT and RX 6800, all AMD-powered Radeon graphics cards are now available for less than their MSRPs as well.

Hopefully, these trends reach the PH market so that PC enthusiasts can start building their dream gaming rigs again without burning a hole in their pockets!

What do you guys think?
