Polaris Esports hailed as Champions in the recently held Predator League 2022 Philippines Dota 2 competition.
The said huge gaming event took place at SM Mall of Asia Central Atrium last Sunday, September 18, 2022.
Four popular Dota 2 teams fought in a thrilling battle at the Semi-Finals namely GrindSky Esports vs Execration and Polaris Esports vs Atomic Esports.
GrindSky was the first one to advance to the Grand Finals stage after beating Execration with a 2-1 score.
On the other hand, Polaris Esports defeated Atomic Esports with a clean sweep 2-0 to advance to the final round.
Also, these remaining two teams clinched a spot for the upcoming Predator League in Japan. Another tournament but it will be the Asia Pacific level where many top-tier contenders from different regions are expected to come.
Moving on to the main event, Polaris Esports is a heavily favored team due to their "well-tailored" resume which they easily displayed over Grindsky with a commanding 2-0 score. Leaving their foes unable to answer back.
With this win, the team was able to bag the Predator League Shield (trophy) and ludicrous PHP 200K grand prize. On the other hand, GrindSky takes home PHP 100K as a consolation prize.
Apart from the exciting Dota 2 matches, the whole Predator League event is a fun experience as Acer invited some notable personalities who graced their presence at the venue.
Some of those are with the likes of Ashley Gosiengfiao, KuyaNic, and Kang Dupet who are well-known streamers of the said game. The TNC Predator also showed up to show their support for the event.
Two popular hosts also kept the event alive namely Justin "Vill" Villarasen and Allyza "Tayrawr" Taylor. Several casters and analysts also showed up who enlightened the viewers with their Dota 2 knowledge such as Erika "Aki" Ilar, John "Johnxfire" Nathan Fernandez, Aries "Kalbz" Alejandro, Nathaniel "Natan" Wicks, and Rain "Rain" Zerlyn Manaig.
The event also showed some of the laptop products such as the Helios 300 Spatial Labs Edition and Predator Triton 300.
As a recap, the Helios 300 Spatial Labs Edition uses 15.6-inch 60Hz 4K 3D screen, up to 14nm Intel Core i9-12900H processor, RTX 3080 GPU, 32GB DDR5 RAM, and up to 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD.
Meanwhile, the Triton 300 has a 16-inch display with 165Hz QHD resolution. It has 12th-Gen Intel Core i7-1900H, RTX 3070ti GPU, 16GB DDR5 RAM, up to 2TB PCIe SSD, and Windows 11 Home operating system.
These laptops were free to use in the gaming booth while the audience and guests enjoyed playing them.
Finally, the upcoming Predator League in Japan will be on November 11 to 13. All eyes will be on that day as it will determine who is the best in the Asia Pacific.
