Zack of JerryRigEverything puts the recently launched ASUS ROG Phone 6 Pro thru his usual gauntlet of durability tests.
Last year, Zack of JerryRigEverything put the ROG Phone 5 Pro thru a series of durability tests to see if a device was built to last. Unfortunately, the ROG Phone 5 Pro snapped with the bend test.
Nearly a year later, the ASUS ROG Phone 6 Pro arrived. It is priced at PHP 64,995 in the Philippines.

To recap, the gaming phone features a 6.78-inch Samsung E4 AMOLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate and a 2448 x 1080 resolution. Inside is the 4nm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 octa-core processor, Next-Gen Adreno GPU, LPPDR5X RAM, UFS 3.1, and 6,000mAh battery with 65W charging.
In our unboxing and first impressions, we found the phone made of metal and glass. It measures 173 x 77 x 10.3 mm and weighs 239 grams.
How does the latest ROG Phone fare under the series of tests? According to the video, the ROG Phone 6 Pro snapped under the bend test. The Gorilla Glass Victus of the phone was able to withstand scratches at up to level 5 while the AMOLED was able to withstand being exposed to a lighter's flame for 30 seconds until it failed and turned black.
The phone managed to withstand somewhat respectively but failed in tests that put the phone under pressures that are more than the usual wear and tear a smartphone undergoes in the day-to-day.
