OPPO A58 unveiled with Dimensity 700, 90Hz display and 50MP camera!

OPPO yesterday announced another member of its A series line called the A58.

OPPO's latest A series smartphone!

The smartphone highlights an entry-level 5G chip 7nm 2.0GHz MediaTek Dimensity 700 with Mali-G57 GPU and a 50MP AI camera + 2MP depth sensor.

At the back, it's got a weird-looking elongated camera island that houses its two shooters and the LED flash. You'd also find an inscription "Innovative AI Camera". The rear cover is available in Black, Purple, and Blue colorways.

The features

On the front, you'll see a dewdrop notch housing the 8MP selfie camera on the 6.56-inch IPS HD+ 90Hz LCD screen.

It comes in three memory configurations of 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, or 8GB/256GB. The storage is also expandable using microSD.

The device also uses a 5,000mAh battery and charges using a 33W SUPERVOOC adapter and USB-C cable.

Other features noted are a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm audio jack, IP54 dust and water resistance, and dual speakers with DIRAC audio support.

Connectivity wise it has 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS dual-SIM card (nano) support.

For the software, the handset runs Android 12 with ColorOS 12.1 skin on top.

China price with direct to PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

OPPO A58 8GB/256GB - CNY 1,699 (around PHP 13.5K)

The phone is now available for pre-order at the brand's Chinese web store while the sale begins November 10, 2022. However, there's no word yet for the pricing of the other memory configurations as well as their availability here in the Philippines.
