Through a cutting-edge concept of wireless client-facing and mesh-backhaul links that are dynamically managed, Qualcomm Multi-Link Mesh redefines home networking. According to network conditions, device capabilities, and home network topology, Qualcomm Multi-Link Mesh selects or alternates links in the 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz unlicensed spectrum bands to enable low latency transmission for virtually lag-free gaming experiences with a 75 percent reduction in real-time latency in busy environments.

WiFi 7 technology is touted to offer unprecedented performance, with multi-gigabit coverage spanning a wider area than ever before. This cutting-edge technology allows for faster speeds, greater range, and more reliable connections than ever before, making it a great choice for businesses and homes alike.

WiFi 7 key features include expanded 5GHz spectrum performance, 240MHz channels, and 4K QAM modulations that have 80 percent higher capacity compared to WiFi 6. Optimized 6GHz spectrum performance, including full support for the turnkey Qualcomm AFC Solution for corner-to-corner multi-Gigabit coverage and 320 MHz and 4K QAM modulation, which can deliver 140 percent more capacity than WiFi 6E.

When regulatory clearances are received, the Qualcomm AFC Solution will be commercially available for usage by the general public and is now available for customer device integration.

It also has support for WiFi 7 Multi-Link and Adaptive Interference Puncturing for optimal operation even in congested areas. It will use AI congestion avoidance algorithms to ensure high performance even in the middle of a congested area with a lot of interference. It also has up to 5.8Gbps peak speeds for a single connected device.

For Wi-Fi routers and mesh networks, Qualcomm said it is collaborating with Xiaomi, TP-Link, Netgear, and Linksys. The products will be commercially available in the second half of 2023.
