The Xiaomi 13 series is equipped with a 1-inch main camera sensor. But, the Xiaomi 13 Pro features a Leica 75mm floating telephoto lens.

Both the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro come with a Leica 75mm telephoto lens with a big f/2.0 aperture. The Xiaomi 13 Pro also has a built-in floating focus lens set and a Leica 75mm floating telephoto lens with claims that the focusing technology, which has a wide focusing range, similar to SLR.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro floating telephoto, according to the company's introduction, can instantly transition between telephoto and close-up. The lens is divided into two groups by the floating focus module, one of which can be shifted around.
If it moves forward, it has infinity focusing while if it's moved back, it will have up to 10cm close-up focus. It supports 3.2x optical zoom and up to 70x hybrid zoom. Xiaomi touted this to be its best secondary camera yet.
A telephoto lens is not a popular choice for smartphones in 2022. We are mostly stuck with macro cameras and the 2MP auxiliary sensors epidemic. Telephoto lenses provide better performance in terms of shooting portraits compared to some low MP depth sensors. Adding an advanced telephoto sensor, the Xiaomi 13 Pro could be a breath of fresh air.
