White Vegan-leather material? |
Is the Xiaomi 13 Ultra coming soon?
Launched back in December 2022, the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro are expected to make their global debut later this February in time for the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. During that launch, the Ultra variant of the 13 series was nowhere to be found.
Android Headline now reports that alleged live images of the unannounced Xiaomi 13 Ultra were spotted online.
The image depicts a massive phone with a white vegan leather-like material for the back. The back has a unique shape where two-thirds is mostly made of the vegan-leather-like material which curves to the sides. The other one-third of the back is a raised square with a round camera module that protrudes further.

Is this legit? |
The camera module has the Leica branding and camera specifications printed around the edge of the module. Inside the camera module, you will find two LED flashes and what seems to be four cameras. One of the cameras seems to look like a periscope.
Even though the image has a decent resolution, we can't really confirm which camera is which nor can we confirm if the phone in the image is legitimate.
Like the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro, we can expect the Xiaomi 13 Ultra to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and may use the 50MP 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor. We can also expect it to come with MIUI 14, stereo speakers, water and dust resistance, and other features of the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro.
