Samsung announces a new chip!

This is going to be the successor to the previous Exynos 1280 and will offer some improvements.

The Exynos 1380 now supports UFS 3.1 and comes with an improved AI Engine. Alongside that, the chip can support up to Full HD+ resolution, 144Hz refresh rate on displays, and 200MP primary sensors.

It has 5nm EUV lithography this time with 4x Cortex-A78 clocked at 2.4GHz paired with 4x Cortex-A55 with 2.0GHz clock speed for a total of eight cores. Meanwhile, the GPU will be the Mali-G68 MP5.

It also has AI Engine with NPU at 4.9 TOPS (Trillion operations per second).

The modem supports 5G NR Sub 6GHz + 5G NR mmWave, 3.7Gbps DL, 1.28Gbps UL, and global 5G multi-SIM.

The RAM speed support is going to be up to LPDDR4X/5 while others mentioned are Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo GNSS support.

Rumor has it that the Exynos 138- chip is expected to arrive on the upcoming  Samsung Galaxy A54 phone. That is all the information we know so far.
