realme's take on the notification feature!

A few days ago, we reported that the product page for the realme C55 went live from realme Indonesia's website. Now, the company finally unveiled the full specs and features of the new C-series smartphone.

It will come with a 6.72-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen with a 2400 x 1080 resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate and a 680 nits peak brightness.

Inside is the 12nm MediaTek Helio G88 octa-core processor, ARM Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU, LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB/256GB eMMC 5.1 storage, microSD card expansion and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W SUPERVOOC Fast charging.

At the back of the phone is a 64MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor with an LED flash while in front is the 8MP selfie camera.

Other features include a 3.5mm audio jack, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Dual-SIM support, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and NFC.

The phone measures 165.6 x 75.9 x 7.89mm and weighs 189.5 grams. 

It will come in either Sun Shower, Rainy Night or Rainforest colourways.

But its highlight feature, the Dynamic island-like Mini Capsule will arrive later thru an OTA update. The Mini Capsule is a software feature that offers important or relevant information such as charging status, low battery warning, data usage, or health metrics around the display's punch hole even more seamlessly than before. 

Indonesia price with direct to PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

realme C55 6GB/128GB - RP 2,499,000 (around PHP 9K)
realme C55 8GB/256GB- RP 2,999,000 (around PHP 10.8K)

It will go on sale in Indonesia this March 8, 2023. There is no word yet on Philippine pricing and availability.
