DxOMark: OPPO Find X6 Pro w/ 3x 50MP sensors crowned the new world's best camera phone

A new imaging leader? Camera testing lab DxOMark earlier published its imaging rating for the new OPPO Find X6 Pro and it has bested every other phone on its list.

OPPO Find X6 Pro, the new number 1 camera phone at DxOMark!

The OPPO Find X6 Pro recorded a Photo score of 153, a Bokeh score of 80, a Preview score of 72, a Zoom score of 154, and a Video score of 148 to achieve 153 points—the highest among all the other camera phones at DxOMark yet.

Former number 1 HONOR Magic5 Pro still holds the best Photo score at 154 and Zoom score at 156. iPhone 14 Pro Max also topped the score for videos at 149. But, the OPPO Find X6 Pro now has a higher overall score. DxO also said that in its "Use Cases," it is also the champ for Portrait, group photos, low light, and videos.

If we are not mistaken, this is the first time that OPPO has topped DxOMark's overall smartphone camera ranking (1st in Global Ranking and 1st in Ultra-Premium Ranking).

We put the Oppo Find X6 Pro through our rigorous DXOMARK Camera test suite to measure its performance in photo, video, and zoom quality from an end-user perspective. This article breaks down how the device fared in a variety of tests and several common use cases and is intended to highlight the most important results of our testing with an extract of the captured data.

To achieve this feat, OPPO used a legit 50MP triple-camera setup consisting of a custom 50MP Sony IMX989 1-inch sensor with OIS that can process 142 percent more light than the Find X5 Pro, 50MP f/2.2 Sony IMX890 free-form ultra-wide angle camera (1 percent distortion only) with macro mode, and a custom 50MP Sony IMX890 with 65mm 3x optical zoom (the largest sensor on a periscope lens at 1/1.56-inch size) and up to up to 120x digital zoom.

The lab has yet to reveal its selfie camera rating.
