Build/Design - The OPPO Fine X6 Pro uses a premium-looking two-tone leather back design in Brown and White with IP68 water and dust resistance. Besides the Brown colorway, you can also choose the Black or Green option.

You can also choose between leather (slightly thicker at 9.5mm) or Glass back cover but will have a slimmer profile at 9.1mm. In terms of glass protection, it gets the upper hand with the Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The 13 Ultra design

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra poses a similar leather material at the back and an IP68 rating. You will notice that it has a slightly protruding hump due to the cameras but despite that, it measured slimmer at 9.1mm. For glass protection, the Ultra variant has the 1st edition Gorilla Glass Victus.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra is a slightly lighter phone.

Display - Looking at the screen, the OPPO Find X6 Pro has a 6.82-inch  curved LTPO 3.0 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, QHD+ 3168 x 1440 resolution at 510 ppi. The display is also 10-bit, supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 1440Hz PWM dimming, and up to 2,500 nits peak brightness.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra comes with a slightly smaller screen at 6.73 inches but uses a curved OLED LTPO C7 panel. It comes with higher resolution at 3200 x 1440 at 522 ppi, 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 1920Hz PWM dimming, and up to 2,600 units of max brightness.

Specs - When it comes to performance both devices are equipped with the 4nm 3.2GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 octa-core processor with New Adreno GPU, 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM choices.

They only differ in the storage options as OPPO has 128GB/256GB/512GB choices while Xiaomi has 256GB/512GB and even a whopping 1TB storage. Also, both brands use UFS 4.0 memory.

In terms of battery, they both have 5,000mAh sizes. OPPO gets 100W SuperVOOC and 50W AIRVOOC. While Xiaomi uses a 90W power adaptor and 50W fast wireless charging.

Cameras - This department is the highlight for both smartphones, OPPO Find X6 Pro uses a legit triple 50MP camera setup with Hasselblad technology. 

They consist of a custom 50MP Sony IMX989 1-inch sensor with OIS that can process more light than the predecessor, another 50MP f/2.2 Sony IMX 890 free-form ultra-wide angle camera (1 percent distortion only) with macro, and another custom 50MP Sony IMX890 with 65mm 3x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom. For selfies, the phone uses 32MP f/2.5 Sony IMX709 RGBW camera.

On the other hand, Xiaomi is a quad 50MP contender and uses Leica optics. It has a 50MP f/1.9-4.0 primary camera with a 1-inch Sony IMX989, variable aperture, and "HyperOIS". It is coupled with a 50MP f/2.2 Sony IMX858 122-degree ultra-wide-angle camera + 50MP f/1.8 3.2x optical telephoto camera + 50MP f/3.0 IMX858 10x optical periscope shooter with OIS, 120x digital zoom, and LED flash. At the front, it has a 32MP f/2.0 RGBW selfie snapper.

Let's not forget that the 13 Ultra can have the optional photography kit which will make it look like a DSLR camera with the detachable grip with shutter, 67mm adapter ring, and wireless camera handle.

Other features - The OPPO Find X6 Pro boasts next-gen Graphite material for heat dissipation and the Battery Health Engine solution that retains 80 percent of its original capacity after 4 years.

Our thoughts

On paper, they have specific advantages over each other such as OPPO using more robust glass protection, higher sensors used in the ultra-wide and periscope, slightly faster charging, Battery Health Engine, and guaranteed 4 years of OS updates on flagships.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi offers slightly higher screen resolution, variable aperture, more 50MP cameras, and even a photography kit for an enhanced shooting experience.

Both flagships looked to be neck and neck and it will be up to the user on which feature must be prioritized in choosing the phone.

But there's no denying that both of them have promising flagship performance and cameras.
