OnLeaks in collaboration with SmartPrix and MediaPeanut have posted online alleged renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5.
FoneArena reports that OnLeaks together with SmartPrix and MediaPeanut have shared publicly alleged renders of the yet-to-be-announced next generation of folding smartphone from Samsung.
The first render is of the alleged Galaxy Z Flip5. The renders depict a similar silhouette but with flat sides and a significantly larger 3.2-inch cover screen. (compared to the 1.9-inch display of the previous generation)
While the renders of the Galaxy Z Fold5 depict a similar look from the previous generation except for some details. The sides are flatter and the LED flash has been moved from the bottom of the triple rear camera module to its side.
Leaks have claimed that the unannounced Galaxy Z Fold5 will be smaller and lighter than the previous generation because of the smaller hinge gap which is attributed to the new 'waterdrop' style hinge design. It will retain the same sized 6.2-inch outer screen while the inner screen will have the same sized 7.6-inch inner screen but with smaller bezels.
Both smartphones are expected to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy that was found in the Galaxy S23 series that were launched earlier in the year.
Samsung is expected to announce the next generation of foldable in the third quarter of this year.
Take this information with a grain of salt until the Korean giant makes an official announcement.
