Globe: Ookla recognizes our network as "reliable" from Q1 2022 to Q1 2023, Opensignal's most awarded Filipino telco

As Globe claims to stay true to its commitment to connecting Filipinos, it was named by Ookla as a "reliable" for four consecutive quarters.

Globe's "high-performing" service

Citing analysis by Ookla, the Ayala-led telco said it was named the "Philippines' Most Reliable Mobile Network" (Analysis by Ookla of Speedtest Intelligence data Q1 2023) since Q1 2022.

According to Globe, network reliability measures the uninterrupted operation of a service.

To stay to true its commitment to providing reliable internet connection to Filipinos, the telco said it has built 220 new cellular towers, upgraded over 3K mobile sites to LTE in Q1, and deployed around 118,000 fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) lines to meet the dynamic and evolving needs of its customers for a reliable network.

Globe said Ookla Speedtest Intelligence Analysis has also identified the telco as having the Fastest 5G Mobile Network in Cagayan de Oro, Makati, Misamis Oriental, and Zamboanga. It was also named as the Most Consistent Broadband in Antique, Western Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Lanao del Sur, Leyte, Pampanga, and Samar.

With all these, Globe noted it emerged as the most awarded telco in the Philippines recognized by Opensignal for exceptional mobile network experience with the following awards: Best Overall Video & Voice App Experience, the Best 5G Upload Speed, and the Best 5G Games Experience in the country.

Since the start of 2023, Globe has been Opensignal's most awarded Filipino telco, it added.
