Nothing OS 2.0 is coming soon!
The launch event of the startup company is nearing with less than 4 weeks away. On July 11, Nothing will unveil the Phone (2) alongside the 2nd iteration of its software.
Carl Pei, the firm's Founder and CEO noted that it will be a pretty big change as they acquired 100 staff working on it from Nothing OS 1.5.

He also mentioned of "software update is very important to the company". thats why they will also bring it to the 1st gen Nothing Phone (1) as well but users will have to wait until August 2023. That's not bad since that was just 1 month after the official launch.
What to expect from the new OS?
Firstly, Nothing aims to add intentionally productivity to their devices. The developers want consumers to feel productive while enjoying their devices. The idea is to create a distinct Nothing Ecosystem that works seamlessly with the hardware, utilizing the highlights of Android and making them more efficient for users.
Users can also expect a newer home screen bringing purposeful interaction, easy access to what you need, and reduced excessive scrolling and digging. Fans may also expect a more aesthetically pleasing look on the apps, widgets, and more.
