Better internet connection in remote areas

According to a report by GMA News, Data Lake said it has deployed more than 200 Starlink Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite internet units across the country.

It was in February when Data Lake said it was expediting Starlink’s entry to the Philippines within the first three months of the year.

Prior to this, Elon Musk’s Starlink in July last year announced it was launching its LEO satellite services in the Philippines by December 2022

However, this was pushed back due to delays in the production and deployment of LEO, Data Lake said.

Since entering into a reseller agreement with SpaceX and Starlink in October 2022, Data Lake noted it had deployed over 200 Starlink units across the Philippines.

This gave different sectors like banking, education, and remote field offices access to high-speed internet connectivity, it added.

Data Lake and SpaceX have signed a deal with the end goal of connecting all parts of the Philippines to the global digital network, eliminating the digital divide.

As the first authorized reseller of Starlink in the Philippines, Data Lake Inc. is proud to be at the forefront of this transformative technological advancement, the Sy-led company said.
