A few months after its initial release for iOS users, OpenAI's highly popular AI assistant is now available on Android devices.
OpenAI shared on X (formerly Twitter) that ChatGPT for Android is now available for download in the US, India, Bangladesh, and Brazil.
Upon checking, you can now pre-register for the app on the Google Play Store in the Philippines. It will automatically be installed once available.
But soon, it will roll out to additional countries "over the next week."
The app description reads that the app provides instant answers to questions, tailored advice, professional input, creative inspiration, and even learning opportunities.
It is based on OpenAI's GPT-4 model which also powers the Bing AI chatbot.
To recap, ChatGPT is a large language model-based chatbot developed by OpenAI. It is notable for enabling users to refine and steer a conversation toward a desired length, format, style, level of detail, and even language used.
