CNN PH's YouTube account remains down on Wednesday |
CNN Philippines is resolving copyright allegations
On Monday, it was discovered that the YouTube account of the news platform CNN Philippines was taken down.
The media organization has issued a statement about the matter.
Please be informed that our YouTube channel is temporarily disabled due to alleged copyright issues. A notice to this effect was sent to CNN Philippines early this afternoon, it said on Monday.
CNN Philippines said it is already pursuing ways to resolve the issues to put back its YouTube channel.
We at CNN Philippines maintain our steadfast commitment to strictly adhere to copyright rules and trust that this misunderstanding will be resolved at the earliest possible time, it assured its audience.
As of Wednesday morning, CNN Philippines' channel is still inaccessible.
This development came after YouTube also terminated the account of Quiboloy-led SMNI News and Kingdom of Jesus Christ. Prior to this, the video-sharing platform also took down the official channel of "church leader" Apollo Quiboloy.
