HUAWEI MateBook 16s 2023 launched in PH: 16-inch 2.5K 3:2 screen, 13th gen Intel Core i9 chip, PHP 89,999 price tag

Tech giant HUAWEI last Friday introduced several new laptops in the Philippines as a part of its back-to-school campaign. One of them is the MateBook 16s 2023.

The new MateBook 16s is fast and capable!

The HUAWEI MateBook 16s is one of the most premium notebooks of the company designed for those in need of achieving tasks quickly whether it is for office work, demanding CEOs, content creation with a bit of video editing, or even finishing your homework and other school tasks.

Aluminum body

On paper, the notebook bears most of the specs found in its 2022 version like premium aluminum chassis, 16-inch 2.5K LCD touchscreen with TÜV Rheinland Color Accuracy certification, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD storage, 84WHr battery, 90W SuperCharge via USB-C, 1080p webcam placed on top of the screen, power key/fingerprint scanner in one, and a wide touchpad.

HUAWEI claims that it has a "gaming-grade" Dual shark fin fan for cooling with an S-Shaped Shark Fin Blade, two extra-wide heat pipes, and a hinge air inlet for heat dissipation.

It also has HUAWEI's Metaline Antenna for better overall signal reception.

Big touchpad, nice display

What's new here is it is now using the more powerful 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900H 14-core processor based on the Intel 7 lithography with up to 5.40GHz clockspeed. This is definitely an upgrade over the Core i7-12700H of its predecessor.

Moreover, it has the SuperHub for seamless cross-device file transfer, multi-screen collaboration, and a lot of the Super Device features.
