Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series launched: SD8G2, 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED, IP68 resistance rating

Samsung has launched the new Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9+ and Tab S9 Ultra equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED screen, eSIM, and 5G.

The Korean giant has introduced the successor to its popular flagship tablet range. It features a sleek design and is made of glass and Armor Aluminum.

The new series of tablets feature the 4nm 3.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 octa-core processor and New Adreno GPU. It supports Dual SIM (pSIM + eSIM) that enables 5G connectivity alongside WiFi. Each variant features four AKG-tuned speakers and is IP68 water and dust resistance rated.

Like the previous generations, the Tab S9, S9+, and Tab S9 Ultra support and will come with the SPen included in the box.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ and Keyboard case

The vanilla Tab S9 has an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with a 2560 x 1600 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by an 8,400mAh battery with Adaptive Fast charging. It has a 12MP ultra-wide front-facing camera and a 13MP rear camera.  It weighs 498 grams (WiFi)/500 grams (5G) and is 5.9mm thick.

While the Tab S9+ has a large 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with a 2800 x 1752 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a 10,090mAh battery with Adaptive Fast charging. It has a 12MP ultra-wide selfie camera while at the back are the 13MP main camera and 8MP ultra-wide. It weighs 581 grams (WiFi)/586 grams (5G) and is 5.7mm thick.

The Tab S9 Ultra has an even larger 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with a 2960 x 1848 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by an 11,200mAh battery with Adaptive Fast charging. In front are the 12MP ultra-wide and the 12MP wide dual-selfie cameras while at the back are the 13MP main rear camera and an 8MP ultra-wide rear camera. It weighs 737 grams and is 5.5mm thick.

There is also a new IP68 S Pen Creator Edition which Samsung says offers a more premium experience with its textured material that should be a more comfortable grip while offering a wider tilt angle. It has two types of pen tips: Hard type and softy type.
