POCO M6 Pro 5G launched: SD4G2, 90Hz screen, 50MP rear camera

POCO has introduced its latest affordable 5G phone for the Indian market in the form of the POCO M6 Pro 5G equipped with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC.

Affordable 4nm-made SoC?

The new phone has a large 6.79-inch LCD screen with a 2460 x 1080 resolution, a 30/48/60/90Hz adaptive refresh rate, a 550 nits peak brightness and a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protected.

Inside is the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 4Gen 2 octa-core processor, Adreno 613 GPU, 4GB/6GB LPDDR4X RAM, 64GB/128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage, microSD card expansion,  and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

At the back are the 50MP rear main camera, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor with an LED flash. While in front is the 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

It can carry 2 nanoSIM cards aside from the microSD card.

Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, infrared sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, and bottom-firing loudspeaker.

It connects via 5G, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, GLONASS and USB-C.

The phone measures 168.6 x 76.28 x 8.17 mm and weighs 199 grams.

It is running on Android 13-based MIUI 14. Lastly, it will come in either Forest Green or Power Black colorways.

India price with direct to PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

POCO M6 Pro 5G 4GB/64GB - INR 10,999 (around PHP 7.4K)

POCO M6 Pro 5G 6GB/128GB - INR 12,999 (around PHP 8.8K)

It will be available for purchase thru India's Flipkart this August 9, 2023.

There is no word yet on Philippine availability and pricing.
