Alongside the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, Google also announced its latest mobile Operating System Android 14.
The latest update will bring new features such as AI-generated wallpapers, passkeys, monthly reminders for data sharing, camera flash notifications, dynamic monochromatic themes, and more.
The majority of the changes are improvements: Android 14 offers a better camera, accessibility, home screen, lock screen, privacy and security, and battery optimization.
The camera app receives multiple improvements such as support for high-quality HDR images, better low-light photography on supported phones, and in-sensor zooming that permits the users to zoom in and out without losing the quality of the image in some third-party apps. A new document scanner feature is also added to enable users to digitize physical documents using their own cameras.
When it comes to accessibility, the Android 14 features bigger fonts that can be scaled up to 200 percent. This is particularly helpful for visually impaired users. Meanwhile, Google also added camera flash notifications which use your phone's flash to notify you. Google specially made this for those who are hard of hearing.
Users can also utilize the pinch-to-zoom to set magnification in their applications. In addition, there are also other hearing aid personalization options as well.
For the lock screen, Google also added new customization pickers, custom clocks, and lock-screen shortcuts.
