Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro Edition announced as homage to Samsung SGH-E700!

Samsung introduces a Retro version of the Galaxy Z Flip5 as a tribute to the Samsung E700 that became influential 20 years ago.

As you can see, this Flip5 Retro appeared with similar Indigo and Silver colors like the original E700 had. There are also Flipsuit cards with stickers featuring the multiple Samsung logos from the previous eras. As for the package, inside will feature Samsunfg E700 collector card engraved with unique serial number.

When it comes to the phone itself, it is still the Galaxy Z Flip5 from the ground up. To recap, it boast bigger cover screen at 3.4-inch Super AMOLED with 748 x 720 resolution, and a main display with 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, FHD+  2640 x 1080 resolution.

Inside, is a 3.2GHz 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 octa-core processor, New Adreno, 8GB RAM, 256GB/512GB storage, and 3,700mAh battery with 25W fast charging, 15W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.

In terms of cameras, it has 12MP f/1.8 w/ AF, OIS main sensor + 12MP f/2.2 123-degree ultra-wide-angle shooter + LED flash. On the selfie side, it has 10MP f/2.4.

It is still unclear when it comes to pricing. But it will be available in limited numbers in South Korea starting November 1. For November 2 onwards, it will also be available in UK, France, Germany, Spain and Australia. Buyers in these aforementioned regions may order the limited edition Flip5 Retro at Samsung's official website.
