Aside from the above-mentioned specs, it comes with 8GB RAM, 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, microSD card storage expansion, single speakers and dual SIM support.

At the back are the 108MP f/1.79 main camera, and 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor with an LED flash while in front is the 16MP f/2.45 selfie camera.

The realme 11's specs are similar to the previous generation but with an upgraded rear main camera.

In the Philippines, the previous realme 10 had a starting price of PHP 12,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant. We expect the realme 11 to be priced somewhere near this.

Let's dive in.

Build Quality/Design

From afar, you immediately notice the eye-catching glittery yellow color and the unique pattern that appears when the light hits back a certain way. When you get closer and grab it, you immediately notice how lightweight and thin the phone is.

It's one of the most gorgeous-looking phones in its class yet!

It is made of a combination of glass, and polycarbonate.

The screen is a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 2400 x 1080 resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 90.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is Gorilla Glass 5 protected and covers 98 percent of the NTSC color gamut.

Around the panel are slim side bezels with the top and chin bezel thicker than the rest. On the upper left part of the display is the punch hole that houses the selfie camera.

With its 1000 nits peak brightness, it produces bright images with decent sharpness, vibrant color and deep contrast.

The SIM tray can carry up to two nano-SIM cards and one microSD card slot. There is yellow a rubber gasket which may indicate a form of water resistance.

Upgraded 108MP camera?

The stock camera app's modes include Photo, Video, Portrait, Pro, 108MP mode, Panorama, Beautify, Street (24mm, 72mm), Movie, Slo-Mo, Time-lapse, Dual-view, Text scanner, and Tilt-Shift.

The Pro mode allows for controls of ISO (100-6400), Shutter Speed (30-1/8000 sec), EV (+-2), Focus and White Balance.

All of the daylight images have vibrant and eye-catching color with good contrast. Our only concern is that it could be sharper.

When shooting close-up, the main rear camera's depth of field is really shallow which made it hard to keep the majority of the frame in focus.

The rear camera's portrait mode can detect the edges of the subject well but struggled with sharp or fine fibres.

In low light, the images are decently sharp with vibrant color but with noticeable noise and artifacts.

Both daylight selfies and portrait selfies are soft with pinkish than normal skin tones. The edge detection isn't as accurate as we would like.

Yet there are instances where in the selfies are sharp, detailed with near accurate color or skin tones. We think realme needs to tweak their software to get the best results consistently.

We hope the results will be consistent once we do more testing.

Other key features of the phone include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, a single speaker and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

What is noteworthy is the addition of Aptx and LDAC codec to the Bluetooth capabilities.

As of the moment

realme 11's AnTuTu score

We have mixed feelings about the realme 11 because, on paper, there are very few changes from last year's realme 10.

The main difference is the upgraded 108MP main rear camera, the single 256GB storage variant, and the faster 67W SUPERVOOC fast wired charging.

Thankfully, the company made its design more attractive-looking than a lot of similarly priced devices.

If realme can keep the price similar to the entry variant of the realme 10, then this could still be somewhat of a good option.

We will have to do more testing with the phone and its cameras to find out whether or not more upgrades are not seen on paper.

Stay tuned.

What do you guys think?
