Sony Philippines issues advisory versus unauthorized camera resellers—reserves legal rights

On Facebook, Sony Philippines earlier issued an advisory versus unauthorized camera resellers.

Sony warns customers to not buy from unauthorized sellers to be sure

Team Sony PH highlighted that those who will purchase from those sellers might not get the product quality, warranty rights, and eligibility for after-sales services.

To ensure customer satisfaction, the company said that its fans should ONLY purchase Sony cameras, lenses, and accessories from authorized Sony dealers.

Sony also notes that customers may report any unauthorized reselling and distributing of Sony cameras, lenses, and accessories.

According to the company, they have received concerns from customers regarding unauthorized resellers of Sony cameras, lenses, and accessories. Report the grey sellers at this link.

Sony added that it expressly reserves its legal rights on the issue.

To those who do not know, grey market sellers buy products in bulk and then sell them without Sony's permission. Then, they often sell it at lower-than-market prices to undercut official sellers.

It is not the most legal way of doing business and we don't know if they are even paying proper taxes.
