Announced globally last December 2023, now the REDMAGIC 9 Pro is official in the Philippines.

To recap, the phone has a more sleek appearance with zero camera bumps, plus its signature RGB fans and shoulder keys for additional advantages. 

The display

In front, it features 6.8-inch BOE flat AMOLED screen with 2480 x 1116 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1600 nits of peak brightness, 2160Hz PWM dimming, 960Hz touch sampling rate, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, and 10-bit colors.

Powering the gaming device would be the 3.3GHz 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core processor with a New Adreno GPU.

The features

In terms of memory, it has 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM, 256GB/512GB UFS 4.0 storage options, and a 6,500mAh battery capacity with 80W fast charging.

Its cameras include a 50MP 1/1.57-inch Samsung GN5 sensor, a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide shooter with LED light, and a 2MP sensor. It also features a 16MP under-screen camera for selfies.

Other major improvements include a larger cooling system, which now measures 10,182mm2 and includes 22,000 RPM RGB fans. The gaming phone also features three microphones, two stereo speakers, two 1115K speakers, a 3.5mm audio connector, an In-Display fingerprint reader that also functions as a heart rate monitor, and a linear motor for realistic vibration.

In terms of connectivity, the phone has 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM support.

For OS, the phone runs Android 14 with RERMAGIC OS 9.0.
