According to Variety, the Cartoon Network website, where the channel’s shows can be accessed, has been removed.

Warner Bros. Discovery this week removed the entire content of cartoonnetwork.com. Visitors are being redirected to a landing page on Max which is the company’s subscription streaming service. Fans are encouraged to sign up to watch Cartoon Network shows.

“Looking for episodes of your favorite Cartoon Network shows? Check out what’s available to stream on Max (subscription required),” a pop-up message says on the new Max landing page. “Sign up for Max, where you can also create a Kids Profile with ratings restrictions and additional privacy protections to keep it fun and kid-friendly! Cable subscribers, continue to enjoy your favorite CN programming on your TV and connected apps as well!”

The report said the Cartoon Network shutdown appears to have happened on August 8.

“We are focusing on the Cartoon Network shows and social media where we find consumers are the most engaged and there is a meaningful potential for growth,” a Cartoon Network spokesperson told Variety.

The representative said that on linear TV, the Cartoon Network will continue to offer 11 hours of programming from 6 a.m.-5 p.m. daily.

Before this development, the Cartoon Network site offers full episodes and video clips for its shows, including “Adventure Time,” “Craig of the Creek,” “The Amazing World of Gumball,” “Teen Titans GO!,” “Steven Universe,” “We Bare Bears” and “Clarence.” It also features free games, including games for “Teen Titans GO!”, “Adventure Time” and “Gumball.”

The shutdown follows Warner Bros. announcing that Boomerang will end on September 30, with customers and content moving to Max.

For fans in the Philippines, the Cartoon Network Asia website is still live. There is no word yet on how the situation will unfold for the Asian subscribers.
