realme C63 5G announced: Faster 6nm Dimensity 6300 chip, but HD+ only screen

realme in India just launched its newest 5G-ready smartphone on a budget, the realme C63 5G.

Now faster with Dimensity 6300

Compared to its 4G version with a UNISOC T612 chip, the device is now equipped with a more powerful and 5G-ready 6nm Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor with Mali-G57 MC2 graphics. This will allow the phone to run applications smoother and enable high-speed mobile internet in areas with 5G network connectivity.

The device also has an improved IP64 rating for dust resistance and water spray protection from any direction. 

However, it has a few "downgrades" on paper like its use of a 32MP main cam instead of a 50MP snapper and the lack of fast charging.

The display is a 6.67-inch LCD (IPS) HD+ resolution screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It has up to 625 nits peak brightness and 89.97 percent screen-to-body ratio. The top-center part of the screen has a punch-hole housing the 8MP selfie camera as well.

Having an HD-only screen is a bit of a downside as its users won't be able to enjoy high-resolution content that could be streamed easier on a phone with faster internet connectivity like this.

Anyway, the device comes with 4GB or 8GB RAM (up to 16GB Dynamic RAM), 128GB internal storage, and a 5,000mAh battery capacity.

According to realme, the device can last up to 17 hours of video playback on a single charge.

realme also equipped this with Android 14 OS with realme UI 5.0 skin out of the box. The company promises that the phone is guaranteed to stay smooth for 4 years thanks to its  48-month Fluency Certification.

It also has an AI Boost Engine as well as Game Boost that promises a 5 percent reduction of game lag and 10 percent frame rate stability.
