ROG Ally X is now official in PH

As mentioned previously, the ROG Ally X gets some quality-of-life upgrades from the 1st ROG Ally. Among these is the reworked body which provides an upgraded ergonomic feel when you're playing with the handheld.

It also got improvements in the D-pad and joysticks to provide more precise control to its users. It also has a longer lifespan with up to 5 million presses. While the back-mounted macro button appears to be smaller and less protruding.

ROG also gave a better cooling here by using the triple fan design which has 23 percent smaller and 50 percent thinner fan blades to provide more airflow inside. ASUS also added air tunnels here and an upper exhaust fan which the brand claims gives 24 percent improved cooling.

Another change here is the twice increase of RAM to 24GB LPDDR5X and up to 1TB off PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage. Now that's a fast choice of SSD and allows portable gamers to swap their storage easily.

With these upgrades, ASUS claims gamers can keep more apps and games open simultaneously while the higher storage option should provide more space for users to install their favorite games.

Furthermore, the ROG Ally X now has an 80WHr battery, which is twice the size of the previous model. ASUS also addressed the thermal issues with larger heat pipes and a quieter fan. The adjustments also have an impact on power consumption, with the performance mode now running at 17W rather than 15W previously. It can now operate at 13W in silent mode, up from 10W previously.

The rest are copied from the predecessor like the 7-inch touchscreen with FHD resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits peak brightness.

It also retained the 4nm Ryzen Z1 Extreme with 8 cores and 16 threads and the powerful integrated graphics RDNA 3 with 12 Compute Units (CUs).

Meanwhile, ASUS has removed the XG Mobile Port and replaced it with 2x USB-C ports providing users a more flexible wired connectivity whether on devices, accessories, or external GPU.

Finally, the gaming handheld runs Windows 11 out of the box.
