vivo V40 and V40 Pro goes global: 4nm SoC, 120Hz 1.5K AMOLED, 50MP Zeiss cameras, 5,500mAh, 80W charging
In India, vivo introduced the new V40 and V40 Pro equipped with 50MP Zeiss cameras, a 120Hz 1.5K AMOLED screen, and 4nm octa-core processors.

Next generation V series?
The phone features curved front and rear glass panels with the rear camera module on the left side.
Up first is the vanilla V40 equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 2,800 x 1,260 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 480Hz touch sampling rate, a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 4,500 nits peak brightness. Under the panel is the fingerprint scanner.
Inside the V40 is the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 octa-core processor, Adreno 720 GPU, 8GB/12GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB/256GB/512GB storage, and 5,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging via USB-C.
At the back of the V40 are the 50MP f/1.88 main camera with Zeiss optics, ISOCELL GNJ sensor and OIS, a 50MP f/2.0 ultra-wide-angle camera with an LED flash.
The V40 Pro comes with the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ octa-core processor, Immortalis-G715 GPU, 8GB/12GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB/512GB storage, and a 5,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging via USB-C.
At the back of V40 Pro are the 50MP f/1.88 main camera with Sony IMX921 sensor, OIS, Zeiss optics, a 50MP f/2.0 ultra-wide camera, a 50MP f/1.85 2x telephoto camera with Sony IMX816 sensor with an LED flash.
In front of both phones is the 50MP f/2.0 selfie camera.
Other features of both phones include stereo speakers, IP68 water and dust resistance, 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS.
The V40 comes in either Lotus Purple, Ganges Blue or Titanium Grey. It measures 164.16 x 74.9 x 7.58 mm and weighs 190 grams.
And the V40 Pro comes in either Ganges Blue or Titanium Grey. It measures 164.36 x 75.1 x 7.58mm and weighs 192 grams.
Running the show on both phones is Android 14-based FunTouch OS 14.

Pre-orders begin on August 7, 2024, in India. It will be available on August 19, 2024, from the vivo website, Flipkart and offline stores in India.
There is no word yet on international or Philippine prices and availability.
