ZTE's sustainability push further advances in 2023

China's ZTE Corporation finished 2023 strong with its commitment to green innovation gaining more momentum.

Green innovation gaining headway

In its report, the company said its green operations were able to achieve a 9.7 percent decrease in absolute GHG emissions throughout the value chain. It also recorded a drop of 14.58 percent in the physical intensity of GHG emissions during the use and maintenance phases of the company’s sold telecom products.

Its PV power generation installed capacity surged by more than 700 percent last year.

For green digital infrastructure, ZTE currently holds over 650 green patents and has conducted carbon footprint assessments for 101 products, encompassing all product categories.

The company also boasted that it helped global operators save more than 10 billion kilowatt-hours in electricity consumption annually.

Amid these efforts, ZTE bagged the "National Level Green Supply Chain Management Enterprise" award, and ZTE Heyuan Base was recognized as a "National Green Factory" in 2023.
