The President of OPPO's Software Engineering, Kai Tang, highlighted OPPO's AI phone strategy, exhibiting a number of high-productivity artificial intelligence (AI) abilities integrated with Google Gemini models. He also gave his thoughts on how generative AI technology is reshaping innovation in the smartphone sector.

As a revolutionary technology, generative AI is transforming the mobile industry, stated Kai Tang. OPPO is dedicated to making AI phones accessible to everyone. We will keep an open mind and work closely with industry giants like Google to deliver the best AI phone experience for our users. 

OPPO underscores that Google has paved the way in the development and implementation of AI technology worldwide, covering a wide range of industries. 

By combining the Google Gemini model with its own AI capabilities, OPPO has brought several cutting-edge AI features to the worldwide market, turning smartphones into potent tools for productivity, the brand says.

Below are the key AI features worth looking at:

AI Recording Summary - Automatically recognizes and extracts significant material from multi-speaker meetings, allowing for short summaries. This improves user comprehension, automates manual activities, and increases labor efficiency dramatically.

AI Toolbox - Combines three major features: AI Summary, AI Writer, and AI Speak. These tools enable efficient reading, easy content creation, and free up users' hands and eyes. The ColorOS smart sidebar provides easy access for a seamless and efficient experience at any time.

The ColorOS 14 and OPPO Reno12 series now include these AI functions for increased productivity. OPPO added they are working with partners like Google to make AI phones more accessible, allowing more people to benefit from its efficiency and ease.

Furthermore, the brand noted AI is now a key driver of innovation in the smartphone sector. It reminds the fans they were able to introduce the Find X7 Series as the first AI phone then in June, OPPO announced its dedication to making more devices like this to make it more accessible to the general market.

More AI phones to expect this year

OPPO aims to equip 50 million devices with generative AI features by the end of this year including the comeback of the Find X Series to the global market.

OPPO sees AI phones with four main features: efficient computing, real-world perception, self-learning, and creativity. It said that the sophisticated ColorOS will allow for multimodal interactions and more flexible third-party service offerings. This will lead to a full-stack change and ecosystem restructure of AI phones, continuously improving user experiences.

As AI technology progresses, OPPO will use generative AI to increase productivity and creativity while providing ideal AI phone experiences. The firm will continue to work with leading industry partners like as Google, combining innovation and collaboration to propel the industry into the next AI phone age.
