In a joint statement, the group said the public can scan the @mayaofficialph QR Code to extend help to affected communities.
Its telco companies PLDT and Smart would also offer free telco services at selected evacuation centers. Through the Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc., the MVP Group is also set to provide hot meals to evacuees who have sought temporary shelter at the center.
Anchored on its core value of malasakit, Tulong Kapatid, the consortium of foundations and companies under the leadership Manuel V Pangilinan will continue to work with local government units and response teams to roll out much needed aid in the form of relief goods, and additional free calling and charging stations in other #CarinaPH-hit communities once safe to do so, the group said.
Several areas across Luzon were submerged in flood waters as Carina enhanced the southwest monsoon, or habagat, leaving many stranded and forcing thousands of Filipinos to evacuate.
