Samsung Galaxy M55s 5G launched: SD7G1, 6.7-inch AMOLED, 50MP main camera

Samsung launched the Galaxy M55s 5G bringing almost similar internals to the M55 last March 2024.

One of the key changes is the design, unlike the typical clean looks of Galaxy smartphones, Samsung added a light-colored striped bar design on its camera section and another darker shade on the right portion. Anyways it is available in Thunder Black and Coral Green colorways.

In front, it uses a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,000 nits peak brightness.

Inside, the phone is still powered by the 2.5GHz 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, 8GB RAM,128GB or 256GB expandable storage, 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charger.

For cameras, the phone uses a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS + 8MP ultra-wide snapper + 2MP macro camera + LED flash. At the front, it uses a 50MP selfie camera.

Other features noted are the In-Display fingerprint sensor and Dolby Atmos speakers. Another change is that Samsung removed the IP67 rating here unlike the M55 version,

Connectivity-wise, the phone has 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM.

For OS, the phone runs Android 14 with Samsung One UI 6.1.

India price with direct to PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

It is going to be available in India starting September 26. No word yet for a PH release so stay tuned in the meantime.
