ASUS ROG Phone 9 Series Global launch on November 19, Snapdragon 8 Elite confirmed
During the Snapdragon 8 Elite launch, ASUS confirmed the arrival of the ROG Phone 9 series, which will be equipped with the new flagship SoC this November.

ASUS teases AI features alongside the new SoC
Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform at the Snapdragon Summit. The company's most powerful mobile system-on-a-chip ever. The event was graced with representatives from several manufacturers, including ASUS.

The ASUS representative teased that the upcoming ASUS ROG Phone 9 will use AI to enhance the gaming and photography experience of the new smartphone. It will apparently sport a new AniMe version on the back with Mini-LEDs, a new retro experience with gaming triggers, and more. It will come in either Black or White colorways.
FoneArena reports that previous rumors have claimed that the phone could come with up to 24GB of RAM, up to 1TB of internal storage, 65W wired fast charging, and IP68 water and dust resistance.
Soon after the event, ASUS confirmed that the upcoming flagship with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite will launch globally on November 19, 2024, at 7 PM Taipei or Philippine time.
