HONOR earlier teased its upcoming flagship smartphone line, the Magic 7 Series, at the Snapdragon Summit 2024.

Improved AI and a more powerful performance
As expected, the high-end smartphone will be powered by the new top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Elite built under the 3nm process. This chip promises an improved CPU performance, 45 percent power efficiency, and upgraded AI capabilities compared with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
HONOR also showcased the first real-time graphics rendering for mobile gaming.
The back design of the handset was also showcased highlighting a circular camera bump with 4 cameras in total. It will also be a curved frosted glass with a version featuring a marble-like paint finish.
HONOR also revealed its plans to develop an AI-first ecosystem.

Autopilot AI for Mobile - According to the company, this is the first in the industry with AI Agent for an open ecosystem.
The company said that from a simple text or voice prompt, the AI Agent can order takeout on the user's behalf. With consent, it can learn from users' habits to make intelligent decisions, for example it can understand if the user prefers their coffee with coconut milk, and order accordingly.
Using this feature, HONOR said that it can also find and cancel unwanted subscriptions across different apps with just a simple command, breaking boundaries between apps and services.
The AI Agent can also assist across a wide range of uses including travel planning, ticket booking, calendar scheduling, notification management, cross-app file transfer, and more.
These capabiltiies will be available on the MagicOS 9.0 on the HONOR Magic7 Series.

Gen AI + NPU computing |
AI-empowered Hardware - The HONOR Magic7 Series will also bring on-device generative AI to gaming powered by NPU computing for the first time. It will be the first in the industry with real-time AI graphics rendering for mobile gaming.
The benefit of this is a reduced GPU load with lower power deve temperatures and better gaming experience with higher image quality.
Seamless AI - The company also demonstrated how it is working together with Qualcomm Technologies to define the AI-first ecosystem featuring the MagicRing. HONOR said that this solution makes multi-device AI experience easier.
For example, when using Windows on Snapdragon, Cocreator allows users to produce detailed artwork from simple drawings.
Powered by MagicRing, users can seamlessly access Cocreator on their HONOR MagicPad 2, drawing AI masterpieces with their Magic Pencil. They can also use the HONOR Magic V3's AI Eraser on the HONOR MagicBook Art 14 to experience the convenience of mobile AI across all their devices.
The HONOR Magic7 Series will bring on-device generative AI to gaming powered by NPU computing for the first time.
The HONOR Magic7 Series will go official in Shenzhen, China on October 30, 2024.
