OPPO Find X8 Pro confirmed to feature Camera-Control key like iPhone 16
OPPO reveals the Find X8 Pro will feature a Camera-Control button similar to Apple's iPhone 16 Series.

To recall, the Find X8 Series is set to launch this month featuring Dimensity 9400. Now an OPPO executive confirmed on Weibo another major detail and this time it's for the "Pro" variant.
Pete Lau also known as Liu Zuohu, the Chief Product Officer of OPPO, noted that the brand's fundamental imaging philosophy and pledge is to capture life's beauty effortlessly.
He explained that the word "effortless" induces a clear image of a scenario where the user just needs to press the shutter to capture the beauty ahead, and OPPO takes care of the rest.
The high-ranking officer also said OPPO has removed the needless camera icon button from the Find X8 series lock screen. He continued that users only need to just press the camera shutter key rather than fiddling with different sport/snapshot modes to shoot different types of scenarios.
Additionally, OPPO says they will remove the bulky camera bumps on the Find X8 Series, challenging the typical thick designs that flagship camera-focused phones usually have.
When you use the English translation on the post, OPPO calls this feature "Quick Launch" which reminds you of the Camera Control button of the iPhone 16 Series.
OPPO Product Manager, Zhou Yibao said that unlike the ones from Apple with a pressable button, this new feature will be a capacitive button that uses a linear vibration motor.
It comes with 3 key principles: 1st is usability, easy to press, and placed for quick access for landscape or portrait.
The 2nd is that simplicity is vital, the button's main ability is to easily open the camera app without any hassles. Third is the aesthetics, The button has to blend in perfectly with the phone's design so as not to detract from the device's aesthetic or lead the camera to vibrate.
In related news, OPPO was indeed reported to be one of the brands that will adopt the Camera Control trend apart from realme and Nubia.
