OPPO teases new camera innovation

Ahead of its scheduled launch at 19:00 CST on October 24, the brand has listed the upcoming Find X8 Pro and its key features on its official Chinese website. It will come equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset and a 5,910mAh battery with 80W fast wired charging and 50W wireless fast charging.

Aside from the listed key specs, renders of the phone have been posted which depict a curved metal frame with curved rear and front glass panels.

In an apparent attempt to build even more hype, OPPO's Zhou Yibao posted on Weibo the revelation that the upcoming smartphone will come with dual periscope telephoto cameras. The innovative configuration includes two specialized telephoto lenses where the first is designed to capture distant landscapes while the second is optimized for portraits.

GizmoChina reports that the Find X8 Pro is expected to come with a 6.78-inch micro-quad curved LTPO OLED screen from BOE. It will allegedly have a 2,760 x 1,264 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

It will allegedly come with a robust camera set-up rumored to be made up of the 50MP main camera with a Sony LYT-800 sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide camera that works together with the chipset's new enhanced ISP. 

The upcoming flagship is looking to be a powerhouse of a device.

We will have to wait for the official announcement of the pricing and availability.
