IDC: Transsion, TECNO ranks first in PH market share (Q3 2024)

According to International Data Corporation (IDC), Transsion leads in smartphone market share in PH for Q3 2024.

Transsion clinches top spot in PH for Q3 2024

Earlier this month, Canalys also acknowledged Transsion with similar remarks. Now another research firm has solidified Transsion's position in the PH smartphone industry.

Based on IDC's claims, the group secured a 37 percent market share with a MASSIVE Year-on-Year Growth of 63 percent. While TECNO says they continue to hold the top position by brand in PH.

This is quite close to Canaly's data with Transsion clinching 33 percent of market share in the country in the same quarter.

Our previous chat with TECNO also said their best sellers in Q3 2024 were SPARK GO 1 (PHP 3,499 starting price) and CAMON 30 5G (PHP 11,999 starting price).

Still, TECNO did not share a specific brand percentage but said it will announce on its official page once it receives approval to share the brand data.

Transsion - 37 percent market share, 63 percent YoY Growth

realme - 17 percent market share, 10 percent YoY Growth

OPPO - 11 percent market share, 7 percent YoY Growth

Xiaomi - 10 percent market share, 33 percent YoY Growth

Samsung - 10 percent market share, 11 percent YoY Growth

Others - 16 percent market share, 0 percent YoY Growth
