No clarity and assurance
TikTok has announced that it will go dark on January 19 in the US if the Biden administration does not act amid the possible ban.
Unless the Biden Administration immediately provides a definitive statement to satisfy the most critical service providers assuring non-enforcement, unfortunately, TikTok will be forced to go dark on January 19, TikTok said in a statement.
According to the app, the statements issued by both the Biden White House and the Department of Justice did not provide clarity and assurance to the service providers that are integral to maintaining TikTok's availability to Americans.
If this pushes through, over 170 million Americans, including content creators based in the country, will lose access to TikTok.
This statement comes as the US Supreme Court upheld the ban and a White House statement suggested Biden would not take any action to stop the implementation before the deadline.
On TikTok, some American TikTok content creators are already bidding goodbye to their followers and are announcing what platforms they will be moving to.

TikTok is banned in the US |
Update: Users can't access the app in the US anymore 1 day ahead of the ban. The app has also been removed from the US Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
On a screenshot sent by GIZGUIDE correspondent Yrda Fernandez from San Fransico, "A law banning TikTok has been enacted in the U.S."
It added, "Unfortunately, that means you can't use TikTok for now."
The message also said,
We are fortunate that President Trump has indicated that he will work with us on a solution to reinstate TikTok once he takes office.
What do you think guys?
